I'm glad I have the the opportunity to now hear the thoughts behind the music from one of the greatest minds of hip hop production after years of enjoying the classics he has provided us. Hank Shocklee of The Bomb Squad stops by the Worldwide Smash show on East Village radio for an interesting discussion on his perspectives of music.
The show centers around his discovery of the emerging genre of music called Dubstep, but the topics of discussion range from Hank's early days in hip hop before Public Enemy, the current climate of music, his philosophies of listening to, creating and recording music and samples of his latest production work. I think if you're a fan of Hank, The Bomb Squad and hip hop in general, you'll find this a good listen and learn new things about music in the process.
