This is a fun interview to hear, just as I expected from the down to earth persona Red usually brings. The female interviewing him, Hannah Rad of New York's East Village Radio sounds alot like the psychiatrist personalities who you hear on the skits of his albums, which is kinda interesting. Redman stops by to promote his latest mixtape "Pancake And Syrup" and his upcoming album, "Reggie" (released Dec. 7). As a Redman fan since his appearance on EPMD's 3rd LP, I get the feeling from this interview he has some treats in store for all of us which are original from his previous work and represent in the form of uncut Hip Hop.
As a representative of the 90's, when having a physical album in your hands was the norm, Red reminds us how much it is important to create an experience of album release date that people will remember beyond just a purchase, through connecting with the fans, promotional groundwork and touring.
