One of the notable female vocal talents to emerge from the Little Brother/Foreign Exchange camp has blessed us with an EP, just in time for the holidays. "Nostalgic Nights"is the follow up to her first extended play release "Doug & Patty" and is available as a free download! I'm excited for this project after hearing her work on a number of guest spot features as a new female vocalist who lends a touch of soul to the climate of Hip Hop.

The "Nostalgic Nights" EP features production from Brooklyn producer Jay Sentine, France's Swan Dito, San Diego's Abjo and Doug & Patty and M1 Platoon producer, Vaughn Garcia.

Bio:

The voice on the Little Brothertrack that had all wondering "Where do all the lonely people go when the party's over" has taken her career into her own hands and been buzzing every since. Whirling up a musical storm with songwriting skills and electrifying beats, Carlitta Durand isn't your usual soul contender. Mixing up the tones of funk, jazz, soul and hip-hop, Carlitta's unique recognizable voice breaks any boundaries of pure music greatness.

Carlitta was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota into a multi-racial family that molded her for diversity and change. With headphones placed on her mother's belly while impregnated,Carlitta list influences amongst greats such as Chaka Khan, Marvin Gaye, SWV, The Gap Band, A Tribe Called Quest and especially Prince. Taking a move to North Carolina to attend North Carolina Central University, Carlitta entered the NC hip-hop world which included Grammy-Award winning producer 9th Wonder and Little Brother group members Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh. Since then Carlitta has been the soulful hook singing sensation on tracks with Buckshot, Little Brother, M1 Platoon, Skyzoo, Tanya Morgan and more. Now Carlitta and her band Fat Snacks continue to make musical vibrations on stage, which they previously toured and opened up for The Foreign Exchange.
