All my residents of the ghetto and members of Hip Hop, rejoice in artists who portray the beauty of this community, helping you to realize and appreciate the most simple things in life through music. InI Mighty Lock Down collaborates with M1 of Dead Prez for "Ghetto Livin'", a dedication to the urban American experience which shows pride and messages of upliftment within the struggle to reggae-influenced melodies.
From my experience growing up in Harlem, NY I've experienced different phases of ghetto life both good and bad, but overall the people in my community who hold their head high and show a genuine love of life are the binding element which sustains our prosperity. Hip Hop is an example of how to make good out of hard times by people who come from the limited resources of the ghetto to create a larger outcome, similar to creating a diamond out of coal.
The ghetto applies pressure and oppression upon it's residents, but like any rough situation in life, we must use the pressure to our advantage to come out on top successful and stronger than before like our legendary Hip Hop artists, entrepreneurs, musicians, activists, everyday residents and heroes of our society.
