With a beautiful blend of rhythms and melodies in the sounds of Jazz fused the pulse of Hip Hop, Robert Glasper continues where he left off on his full-length release "Black Radio" with the experimental sounds of "Black Radio Recovered - The Remix EP" due in stores Oct. 9th.
This project is a re-imagining of his Black Radio album, as Glasper provides remixes of tracks with help from Questlove, 9th Wonder, Georgia Anne Muldrow and Pete Rock. The music is ambitious, soulful and diverse with The Roots, Black Milk, Phonte and Solange contributing vocals to the six-track project. In addition to a remixed versions of the Black Radio title track and "The Consequences of Jealousy," Robert also presents new versions of "Letter to Hermoine," "Afro Blue," and "Twice." "Dillatude," the Robert Glasper Experiment's tribute to the late J Dilla, which was recorded during a previously unreleased Black Radio session is also featured on "The Remix EP".
