"They stand on the shoulders of giants and remind us what we've been missing in music. R&B/soul is indeed alive and SOLO is its future.

SOLO (the group) successfully references American soul legends without mimicking and yet continue to be, unlike any other R&B group. You may have loved their hits "Heaven", "Where do you want me to put it", “Touch me”, and the A cappella vignettes of Sam Cooke classics “Cupid”, “What a wonderful world”, and the Drifters “Under the boardwalk”. Get ready to fall in love with them again.

After a self imposed hiatus the group returns (minus one singer) with their trademark vocal harmonies, textures, and fusion of modern music production with traditional melodies. "We actually decided to get back together because our fans wanted to hear more music," says founding member D’Nell Chavis. With new songs “MF Keeper”, "Wonderful Pain", and “Nothing” SOLO successfully convinces us that they are R&B Souls true heirs apparent. Their sound is immediately identifiable and cuts through some of the mundane sounds currently on the radio. Tenor, Dan Stokes recalls; “When we made this album we were only competing with ourselves. We wanted to create a radio friendly album that our fans could play from beginning to the end.”

On music from their upcoming album “SOLO 3.0” the group stays true to their influential sounds of Motown, Chess, and Philadelphia soul. Songs feature warm authentic vintage moogs, gut bucket guitar licks, chopped up samples, and live horns bouncing atop dirty snares all seamlessly joined and backed up by doo wop harmony. SOLO recreates a lane that only they have traveled. The album takes a fresh lyrical approach to timeless topics of love and heart ache, and sexy fun and features production collaborations with industry musicians, producers, and band members M. (Majik) Redmond, Maurice Premiere Raymond, Jonathon "Bonkaz" Howard, Lez Lemon, and J. P. Delaire."
