Mr Felty and DJ Pari of Midnight Soulstice Radio dedicate the entire show to the raw and energetic Funk sound of The Fatback Band and speak with the group's founder Bill Curtis. Most popular in the 1970s and 1980s, the Fatback Band is most known for their Top Ten R&B hits, "(Do The) Spanish Hustle", "I Like Girls", "Gotta Get My Hands on Some (Money)", and "Backstrokin'". Their 1979 single "King Tim III (Personality Jock)" is considered by many to be the first rap single.

In between a set of Fatback Funk classics, the hosts ask Bill everything from Fatback's beginning's, to the stories behind how their greatest hits came to be, his views on sampling and the early Hip Hop record "King Tim III".
