"BEING THRU THE EYES OF A CHILD is a concept record expected to be released February 2015. Our first single, "This Is Coming To" is scheduled to drop this October. The album's common theme is about the subconscious human desire to return to how one viewed the world as a child. It juxtaposes a vibrant, get-up and dance groove with a cleverly embedded message which displays the nucleus of our sound." - The Rebirth

Bio:

While Being Thru the Eyes of A Child is a reflection and expression of The Rebirth’s current state, we began our journey in 2003. Our first single, "This Journey In", was a release on The Rebirth's founder, producer, and vocalist Loslito’s label, Kajmere Sound. This gritty psychedelic soul undertaking, now considered an underground classic, immediately caught the ears of King Britt, who quickly added the track to his "Black to the Future" compilation. From there, the course of history for The Rebirth was on a high trajectory with compilation licenses for "This Journey In" from Giles Peterson’s “Trust the DJ”, California Soul, Norman Jay's “Giant 45”, as well as close to another 20 compilation ads.

In 2005, our first album “This Journey In" embedded The Rebirth as one of the most influential underground groups, and garnered the Readers Choice “Group of the Year” for the highly reputable online magazine Soul Tracks. This and the aforementioned accomplishments resulted in The Rebirth being welcomed with open arms, in places toured within and outside of the US, as they toured the world.

Following up “This Journey In,” in 2008, we released a special remix EP with a new future funk/boogie style single called “Love Issue” which UK magazine Blues & Soul Magazine writer Snowboy reviewed declaring, “… The Rebirth came thundering back with the most glorious and heavenly piece of Jazz Funk Imaginable…’10 out of ’10 means perfect, so, ‘perfect’ it is. 10."
