From discussion about the origin of the word "Funk" to a reflection back on legendary careers by artists who share their experience to drive the future, The Funk Music Hall of Fame & Exhibition Center of Dayton Ohio creates an insightful discussion within a group of innovative musicians. Sit back and enjoy talk from a group of people and city known as "The Land Of Funk" who helped originate a sound of music to make your body move like none other.

Interviews include members of renowned bands such as Lakeside, Con Funk Shun, Zapp, Slave, Heatwave and more! Click the image above to get the 2015 expanded edition of Heatwave's "Central Heating" LP.

The Funk Music Hall of Fame & Exhibition Center of Dayton Ohio (The Funk Center) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The Funk Center is being formed to provide a central location to house and display Funk memorabilia, hands on audio stations & kiosk, practice facilities for private music lessons, unique and meaningful audio arts programming for all children, to educate children in the Funk music genre, and to build a lifelong audience for Funk music. We plan to offer a dynamic and constantly-evolving program and exhibition space. Although we will incorporate all of the fine arts into our programs, our focus is on audio art. Most activities will be open-ended and enjoyed on a walk-in basis. The Exhibition Center/Museum will be staffed by working artists, and all structured activities will be led by master artist-teachers.
