Phil Smedley II is a musician/producer from the great city of Columbus, Ohio. He is the son of Phillip Smedley Sr. who was a well known church musician in the area. Phillip Sr. saw that his son Phil II was into drums at the age of 2 and bought him a drum set and started lessons a few years later. Phil's love for music grew and he continued to work hard and practice to the point that when he was 6 years old he was asked to perform for musicals and shows at Capital University where he received his first paid gigs, thanks to his Uncle Joe Dunlap. Some of Phil's most recent work includes his debut instrumental album, "First Link" in which he produced and wrote the entire album and features some of his musical friends that was released in Feb. 2013.

Phil has also worked with with Drummer/Musician extraordinaire Kevin Hayden from Milwaukee, Wisc. Phil is grateful for the chance to collaborate on the opening track "Skyline" for Kevin's Assignments & Delegations project and the later release single "Awaken". In 2011 Phil released a play-along album for drummers called "Drummers Paradise Vol.1" which enables drummers to increase their abilities on drums with practicing with music suitable for today's Gospel & Jazz Fusion scene. With mobile studio capabilities, Phil now records various instrumental tracks for artists around the country. Phil has done some recording on drums for musician/singer Todd Holbein and many others. Phil is currently playing shows with his band Originality Reborn Band aka ORB taking his music around the world in a live setting! Phillip credits his wife Latasha Smedley whom he married in 2003 and his three lovely children Lani, Niah and Phillip III for inspiring him to keep being the best he can be at all times. Phillip gives God all of the credit for everything especially his desire in music and the love for his family. - See more at:
