In celebration of the 5 Foot Assassin's life, Altered Tapes is honored to drop this uptempo soulful House re-take on A Tribe Called Quest's classic "Butter." Utilizing larger portions of the song's original samples from Jazz Fusion artists Weather Report and Gary Bartz, Altered Tapes deliver a flavorful new twist for a jam designed for the dance floor and fun homage to ATCQ.

In 2009 the Radio Boys (Kev Lawrence, C.Truth) had the pleasure of speaking to a much heralded member of A Tribe called Quest, Phife Dawg. Phife explained why he was absent from the scene for the past 4 years and basically needed a kidney from his wife in order to stay alive.
