When it came to stepping out of the booth and attacking the mic on live radio, Akinyele was definitely a beast back in the early and mid 90's. Here are a few standout moments where his flow and delivery gained momentum upon achieving more recognition in Hip Hop as a force to be reckoned with. If you can track down his rhyme moments on radio from this period on shows such as Stretch & Bobbito, Sway & Tech's Wake Up and others, it's good memories to go along with his debut album.

Kool G Rap & Akinyele Visit Future Flavaz Radio During The Early 2000's

Listen to 2 separate episodes of Pete Rock & Marley Marl's Future Flavaz show from early 2000. These recordings feature a couple of lyrical beasts from the borough of Queens, Kool G Rap and Akinyele.

The Kool G Rap episode was conducted just before the release of his Rawkus LP "The Giancana Story" and features an interview with Marley. In addition, you get an unreleased promo with Ma Barker and a killer freestyle session. The episode is also an unfortunate one though since it was also dedicated to the passing of Pete Rock's father.

The Akinyele episode is one of Future Flavaz's funniest. It's during the release of Ak's "Aktapuss" LP and the success of his single "Put It In your Mouth". Ak goes buckwild during the interview, sounding hella enthusiastic and overjoyed with life as one of Hip Hop's new players on the scene.
