J Dilla, Nottz, Black Milk, Oddisee & Others Collide On Finale's "A Pipe Dream And A Promise" Instrumentals

Let your head nod to the sounds of a competitive period of Hip Hop on Finale's "A Pipe Dream And I Promise" Instrumentals. This unique Detroit MC weaves words like none other and carries on the tradition of lyricists who entertain with complex wordplay. On this 2009 project, Finale enlists the cream of the crop in emerging underground production talent. On the boards is J Dilla, Nottz, Black Milk, Oddisee, Wajeed, Kev Brown, Apollo Brown, M-Phazes, Dimlite and Flying Lotus.

In 2023, Finale remains dedicated to ripping mics as he appears on "Read The Message" with Dynas, Wordsworth, John Doe and Jah Freedom.

MC & Educator Wordsworth Shows His Skill Set With Finale & Supastition

"Welcome to Episode 68 of WeGoinIN Presents, where I’m joined by Mr. Johnson aka Wordsworth. While Words is known in hip-hop circles as an incredible MC, he also teaches TV, music, and film production at Oak Hammock Middle School in Fort Myers, Florida. Since his school is closed, like most schools throughout the U.S., I wanted to catch up to him to see how he’s adapted to distance learning, both as a teacher and parent. While we still talk music here, that’s clearly secondary to the stresses we’re all facing with COVID-19. And keep in mind, this is a brief convo to get a better sense of what life’s been like for Words as a teacher and the challenges a lot of families are facing with distance learning. If you want more in-depth conversations with Words about his music, go back to the archive and check Episodes 13 and 39." - WeGoinIN Podcast

A sinister arrangement of violins and keys serve as the foundation to make you bounce as Finale's distinct flow and flurry of images let loose on "Random Joint" produced by The ARE. It's clear this Detroit has a lot on his mind as he absorbs all that bothers him within sight and reflects in back out to you in rhyme.

The raw sound of Detroit Hip Hop continues on 2 more random joints featuring Guilty Simpson, Jay Dee and Big Tone as Finale chooses gutter production to reflect the rugged-at-heart approach of his music and city.

Stay tuned to Finale's Soundcloud page for more random joints, he says he's "gonna use this for exclusives and stuff i never put out".
