As a Hip Hop fan it's interesting to learn the relevance of sampling from the days when it was virtually unknown by publishing companies up to the present day where laws are strict and record companies are making a large income from artists who sample their music. When it comes down to it new laws and technology have affected the music a great deal over the years, however many artists today are still finding a way to bring the nostalgic value of past recordings to their music by digging harder and producing new music from collages of sampled sounds.
