What are YOU doing to preserve the culture? (Dedicated to Kool Herc)

Preserving The Culture by the legendary Rhyme Inspector Percee P and A-FS is a show which presents the views of Hip Hop who lived and preserve the traditions of the culture, focusing on the era of park jams in The Bronx up until the present generation. The hosts and their esteemed guests provide a wealth of teachings, experience and enlightenment to the listener which cuts through the false illusions of corporate media image of Hip Hop.

I could listen to these shows repeatedly for the depth and life experiences given by pioneer artists such as  King Sun and DJ Mark Luv of The Zulu Nation. One show in particular where Percee P shares his memories of growing up in Patterson projects opened my mind up to the true essence of Hip Hop which can be preserved by those who truly care about the culture. Preserving The Culture is a refreshing listen, in this current era where media is moving faster than ever this podcast can let you take a break from the fast pace and reflect on the true gifts of Hip Hop history.

Here is Episode 1 featuring Percee P, he speaks on the battle he had in the Bronx with Lord Finesse in addition to his career and life retrospective:
