Producer/MC and drummer J-Zone is no stranger to getting funky on percussion and does so once again on his 2nd drum break instrumental album "Backyard Breaks". Designed especially for producers, J fulfills his dream as a sample-based producer by providing a performance of original kicks, snares and drum loops to add the Funk to Hip Hop in 2015 and beyond. This time percussionist Ray May adds congas to a handful of tracks to mix things up and capture the b-boy spirit.

Listen to J-Zone - "The Drug Song" (Remix) and "The Fox Hunt" feat. Oxygen & Breeze of The Juggaknots

J-Zone brings us back to a raw sound and free-thinking approach of Hip Hop on his 2012 limited-edition vinyl release.  This project carries a classic feel like that of the first Pharcyde album as J hooks up a blunted and funky sound of Hip Hop on "The Drug Song" (Remix) then presents comedic messages of life on "The Fox Hunt" featuring Oxygen and Breeze of The Juggaknots. These songs stand out as a group of artists who still love the 90's, who can make you laugh while presenting competitive skill in song and bring a refreshing vibe of fun back to Hip Hop in 2012.

Click below to listen to "The Drug Song" (Remix) and "The Fox Hunt" featuring Oxygen and Breeze of The Juggaknots in full at UGHH.com where the limited-edition vinyl is currently available.
