DJ Ollie Teeba - "Short Order" ft. Jean Grae, Soundsci, Ghettosocks

"After more than 20 years in the industry, co-founder of The Herbaliser and Soundsci group member, DJ Ollie Teeba, is dropping his first solo production LP.

Featuring collaborations with his Hip Hop family, Oxygen, Audessey & UGeorge (Soundsci), Ghettosocks & Timbuktu (Teenburger), Jean Grae, More or Les and Ev.On the Music Bully.

With production collaboration from The Herbaliser and Jonny Cuba as well as mixing and mastering from UK Hip Hop legend No Sleep Nigel.

The recordings on this album span a period of more than 10 years and showcase a variety of styles informed by a boom bap aesthetic.
Representing Hip Hop since the late 1980's with experience in both clubs and live band performance worldwide. Ollie's instincts of what will rock the floor, are brought to bear on many DJ friendly tracks featured here.

An entertaining listen from start to finish. The tough beats are interwoven with Ollie's quirky sense of humour, throughout.

All packaged within a superbly designed sleeve with artwork by World Expo's design guru Mr Darrell Krum."

M-Phazes' "The Works" Compiles Some Of The Producer's Best To Date

"When it comes to Hip-Hop producers, it's safe to say that M-Phazes is Australia's biggest export to date, having produced countless works for some of the biggest names in international Hip-Hop. That signature M-Phazes sound has landed on albums over the globe including Korea, Czec Republic, Spain, America, UK, Japan and South Africa.

M-Phazes is proud to release a compilation album featuring some of his all-time favourite collaborations from his back catalogue: "The Works" With over 300+ released songs to his name, "The Works" is comprised of 12 stand out songs from artists such as Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch ft. Jill Scott, Slaughterhouse, BIG K.R.I.T., Blu, Heltah Skeltah and CL Smooth. "The Works" showcases M-Phazes' ability to output a diverse range of sounds from soulful keys to harcore drums to triumphant horns, every base gets covered by the Australian beatsmith.

"You Don't Wanna ft. Jehst & Micall Parknsun" is the only 100% exclusive track featured on "The Works" and was recorded in 2007 when Jehst & Micall were touring Australia. Complete with a chopped piano loop, heavy bassline and smacking drums, Jehst & Micall showcase their phenomenal skills as wordsmiths over that classic M-Phazes signature sound! In 2010 M-Phazes released his Aria award winning album "Good Gracious" featuring an all-star lineup of Australian Hip-Hop artists. Now in 2013, M-Phazes is releasing his next installment of compilation albums but this time it features an all-star lineup of international Hip-Hop artists only.

Video: Royce Da 5' 9" & Friends Perform at SOBs For Success Is Certain

DJ Premier, Pharoahe Monch, Jean Grae, Talib Kweli and Slaughterhouse join Royce at SOB's NY for a round of high-energy performances at his album release party for the 2011 album "Success Is Certain". These videos happened to be my favorite songs from each artist's catalog but if you look on YouTube there are even more performances from that night from other people. This audio is from the November 25, 2010 Pharoahe Monch and Jean Grae show on The Gold Coast of Australia, performing some of their best songs and a few new exclusives from "W.A.R." and "Cake Or Death", the forthcoming solo albums by Pharoahe Monch and Jean Grae. I feel fortunate to have gained a new appreciation over the years by hearing my favorite artists perform their classics live, especially those who do it with the proficiency, energy and breath control as Pharoahe & Jean Grae. Hopefully you feel the same after listening.

The audio recording of this performance is separated by individual song and into a few folders for your convenience when loading it into iTunes. Enjoy!
