Ma'at Records Presents "The Cantor of Addis" & Killah Priest's "The Document" Remix

"The Cantor Of Addis" by Ma'at features a mysterious vibe of Middle-Eastern musical influence combined with an edge of Funk for a slow and sinister groove. If you admire the work of a musician such as Bob James who during the early 80's stepped out of the bounds of traditional Jazz to push the imagination of the listener by venturing into international influences of sound, this is a good example of that type of style. The flipside of this 7' release features more Southeast Asian-inspired sounds on Killah Priest's "The Document Remix", produced by Jordan River Banks.

By utilizing a common range of instruments to craft imaginative music, the Hip Hop affiliated band Mu'at create a heavy and intriguing composition which feels like a world of their own. Bear witness to dark and cinematic Jazz and a new approach to  Hip Hop sound.
