Catch Up With K-Cut & Sir Scratch of Main Source Who Reminisce With Mikey D


Veteran Queens MC Mikey D has quite a story to tell after years of linking with NY legends. In this interview on his podcast, Mikey D invites his old friends K-Cut & Sir Scratch for an in-depth look into the history of Main Source. Learn what everybody's been up to since they dropped their only album back in '94, plus a look behind the making of their classics.

K-Cut has gone on to produce for a wide range of hip hop artists including Big Pun, Maestro Fresh-Wes, Fu-Schnickens, Queen Latifah and even NBA star Shaquille O'Neal. He also mentored another Toronto-based producer named Watts. 

 After producing hit after hits for such well-known artists as Nas, Madonna, TLC, Backstreet Boys, Seal, the O’Jays, Queen Latifah and MC Lyte, Sir Scratch (Dizzy) is now shining the light on himself. He’s currently pulling material from his own catalog, hard at work putting the finishing touches on a new EP, The Art of My Noise featuring some up & coming artists music will be released in 2022.

The DJ talks about Wild Pitch records, the machines they used for production, sampling, song creation, decision making amongst the crew plus more. In addition, K-Cut gets on the wheels to spin a 2-hour set below.
