With furious power, the DJ Premier-sampled trumpeter gets wild on a live cover version of the Herbie Hancock classic "Chameleon". For Hip Hop heads looking for a new sample source, Maynard comes through with the Funk in this long performance featuring some cool breakdowns within the song. The Maynard sound is like none other, as he demonstrates his musical diversity and outstanding presence on the horn in this previously-unreleased set of performances from '76 and '77.
