Another one of Pete Rock's creations which has stood the test of time, this was an exclusive remix which I still bump today from the famous Future Flavaz radio show. While some other Hip Hop-influenced R&B productions of the mid-90's kind of sound dated or smiliar to each other, Pete's remix of "Get Down"comes off as just a good, original R&B creation in general. Check for an appearance from Grap Luva who drops dope rhymes to end it off.
I had to pull this remix from the stash after being inspired by the Phila Flava blog's great idea for a post of Hip Hop-inspired R&B tunes from the 90's: http://philaflava.blogspot.com/2009/02/thirty-good-vol-1-90s-r.html if you're into this sound check their post for more gems.
