Presto brings an aggressive sound which combines funky drumming with the polish and electronic edge of dark synth compositions. He comes from a straight sampling background after having begun his journey of making beats on an MPC60 to becoming a recognized producer in his homeland of The Netherlands. Netherlands producer Presto Bag of Trix lends a dreamy, melodic vibe to his remix of Slum Vil's "Get Dis Money". This track is just as head nodding with heavenly-sounding elements of Jazz fusion as heard in J Dilla's original version. The thought of financial prosperity can sometimes be stressful for the everyday person, but the beauty of this song and it's original version shows how the power of Hip Hop can help to put our concerns of life into a new, enjoyable perspective.
I present one of my favorite remixes of a J-Dilla production to celebrate his 37th brithday. Dedicated to J Dilla, may he rest in peace.
