In true Hip Hop tradition, DJ Jazzy Jay plays breaks while MCs KRS One, S.U.N. One and The Rhyme Inspector Percee P kick rhymes, live from Guitar Center 11/1/12 in Hollywood CA for the launch of Pioneer's DDJ-SX DJ Performance Controller. KRS stands out in his performance with freestyle rhymes based on what ever comes to mind playing off the presence of a live crowd, S.U.N. One and Percee P rock it as well.

The Pioneer DDJ-SX which Jazzy Jay is using to play beats for each MC in this video is an advanced performance DJ controller designed to work in conjunction with Serato DJ Software. What makes this DJ controller unique is the software which serves as the foundation of a futuristic and expansive design for configuring a number of useful built-in hardware features which enhances the experience of spinning music, from trigger pads and faders to EQ and other controls. This model by Pioneer is designed for greater control and possibilities of performance as a DJ, featuring larger jog wheels which allows for more precision in mixing and scratching plus multiple inputs and 4-channel mixing. Looks like fun! This technology looks like it has the potential to add something new to Hip Hop depending on who uses it.

Enjoy the video above from Guitar Center and Pioneer. After the live event watch the official walkthrough demo of the Pioneer DDJ Series DDJ-SX Digital Performance DJ Controller which is currently available for purchase here at Amazon or at Guitar Center.

The Crosley CR6002A-BK Revolution Portable USB Turntable is a replica to the discontinued Sound Burger portable turntable of the 80's, taking it's unique, compact design and reviving it for use in today's computer-based home music systems. This is just the type of technology I look for to carry around on trips to the smallest locations and preview stacks of vinyl records before making a purchase, it has an ease of use and portability like no other turntable.

Product Description:
"We took the record player "out of the box". Crosley's Revolution turntable truly fits the word in every way. Where other turntables take up space, this one dances around a desk without ado. Where other record players must be kept in their designated place, the Crosley Revolution practically begs to join you on every journey. And where other turntables tangle you in a web of wires, the Crosley Revolution effortlessly pairs with any FM radio for cordless, clear sound. It is a turntable of firsts-the first battery-powered Crosley turntable, the first with a platter smaller than a teacup saucer, and the first with a wireless transmitter for cord-free enjoyment. Users can tote this two-speed turntable with them to vinyl swaps or to a friend's house. Featuring a USB hookup for easy analog-to-digital transfer, the Crosley Revolution will allow users to free their favorites from the grooves for digital enjoyment across a variety of devices. This small but mighty turntable also features a headphone jack, passive audio out, and a dynamic full range speaker."
