I went into my archive of Halftime radio shows and picked out all the ones where they made it a crate digging show by dropping breaks, samples and classic Hip Hop. Every now and then, DJ Eclipse would depart from the normal show format of new Hip Hop and guests to focus on the classics. Revisit a bunch of Hip Hop gems from 2010 selected by DJ Eclipse and DJ Skizz, in addition to interviews from emerging leaders and legendary figures of the culture. With producers like Marco Polo, Oddisse, !llmind and Audible Doctor on the rise, this was a good year if you looked in the right places online for Hip Hop. Many gems might have missed the average listener since this was right around when brick and mortar record stores were closing left and right. What was left was the blogs and online record shops, leaving the world new work to re-adjust our approach to music consumption.
