In 2015, New York shows you just how dark the sound of Hip Hop can get as Bugsy Da God, Big Noyd, Dom Pachino and Mobb Deep weave the drama of street life with the fear of horror on a sinister posse cut. From the full-length LP "Camouflage Disciple" dropping on Halloween.
4 Queens vets get together to envision the streets and make your head bop on "Naturally Born", a summer-sounding Hip Hop anthem for the borough of New York which has birthed legends. Each MC sounds fresh as ever after years of contributing fire to the game to bless this Ayatollah track with an vivid and entertaining view of the Q borough. Dutchmaster adds the icing on the cake with sharp cuts on the tables for the completion of a song which carries the classic sound of Hip Hop die-hards aren't soon to forget.
This is just the type of compilation I've been looking for as a collector's item which showcases quality material from recent emerging underground talent. In celebration of Coalmine Records 5th year anniversary, the Brooklyn-based indie is pleased to present you with their latest offering, Can You Dig It?, a digital-only full length compilation containing 15 tracks of the label’s singles catalog from the last decade. Featured artists include El Da Sensei, Bekay, Brown Bag AllStars, Heltah Skeltah, Custom Made, Skyzoo, Big Noyd, Supernatural & more!
If you have had you're ear in tune to the underground enough this past decade you may have heard some of these tracks. If not, then prepare to get hit in the head with a strong dose of underground Hip Hop!
