Envision classic Hip Hop culture as The Chubbster shares his story of being raised by Hip Hop to becoming a recording artist. From his first show and the moment he fell in love with Hip Hop, to Select Records, opening for N.W.A., to the making of "Caught Up" and more, Chubb Rock gets candid.
Above, is a portrait of Chubb Rock by your truly. It began as a sketchbook drawing which you can see on my Instagram. From there, I scanned it into Photoshop and painted over my drawing with transparent layers of color. Another tribute to musical legends courtesy of JR, your Hip Hop hyperrealist.
In 2019, Hip Hop differentiates between the ways and actions of black people and niggaz on this socially-aware posse cut. Take heed to the pride of blackness as these MCs shed consciousness and self-worth through beats and rhyme. "I Can't Stand Nigg@z" is an honest look into the mirror as Black Ceasar, Chubb Rock, Skyzoo, Rapper Big Pooh and Severe Garcia hold a reflection up to Black people to create a change for the better.
