When singer/producers Häzel and Slakah The Beatchild get together some magical sounds of beatmaking are bound to happen. "Turn The Lights Off" flows with a sense of calm unlike many beats you are likely to hear as the duo provide laid back vibes with a melodic combination of Rhodes and guitar. As these plesant sounds meet the knock of Häzel's gritty drums, the result is a beautiful journey and vision of Hip Hop.

Häzel is hard at work in the studio finishing his new album slated for release this year. In anticipation of the new album we've pressed this limited edition flexi disc featuring "Turn The Lights Off" taken from his upcoming full length. Artwork by The Black Arrow, photography by Kenny Sweeney & additional guitar by Slakah The Beatchild. Only 200 will be available for sale. In stores worldwide March 26th.

Häzel is good at creating smooth, melodic vibes of Hip Hop production while keeping the essence of a heavy drum groove there. He draws influence from one side of Dilla's sound while adding onto the approach with his own imagination.

Stay tuned for more good music from the French beatmaker Häzel in 2012 as he presents "Badoowap" and "KeishaLeisha", an interlude from the forthcoming EP by Canadian vocal duo KeishaLeisha entitled "Indentically Different". Check out their soothing sounds below:
