"The finest, truest definition of modern Soul returns in the form of SOUL LOVE 2015. No effort has been spared in bringing this album together, 20 contemporary Soul cuts of exquisite groove, musicianship and emotion.

Soul dancers will delights at cuts like NOEL GOURDIN & HIL ST. SOUL’s – ‘NO WORRIES’, JOE BUHDHA’s ‘FEEL RIGHT’ – a great vehicle for the ever-lovely TERRI WALKER, CHOKLATE’s good time groove ‘WIDE OPEN’ and ERIC BENET’s ode to ‘HARRIET JONES’.

There’s plenty for the Soulful House heads too, notably ‘KARMA’ from URBAN SOUND LAB feat. TERRANCE DOWNS and also the very special REEL PEOPLE Remix of PORTIA MONIQUE’s ‘GRACE’.

If you dig downtime, visit ‘SHANGRI-LA’ with JAMES TILLMAN or just ‘FEEL FREE’ with warm, enveloping sounds of BRANDON WILLIAMS and the legendary FRANK McCOMB.
‘FAVOURITE TRUTH’ from hot UK talent ERIC LAU and TAWIAH is another delicious laid back groove.

Cutting edge, contemporary Soul is provided by new “wunderkind” JARROD LAWSON’s ‘SLEEPWALKERS’ whilst Nu-Soul and R&B flavours are served up exquisitely by THE COMPANY, ELONI YAWN and MALICE & MARIO SWEET.

Rounded off again with an incredible bonus DJ mix by the legendary DJ SPINNA, SOUL LOVE 2015 really is an exhilarating showcase of what exactly makes modern soul tick, in all its forms."

"We first met DC-based musician Diggs Duke back in June, just a few weeks before the release of his latest EP, The Upper Hand and Other Grand Illusions. During our interview, we discovered that Diggs has a bit of a family connection with the (equally-talented) NYC-based musician James Tillman, who grew up in the DC area. With the connection in mind, we asked James to get in touch with us the next time he was in town and voila - this very special live in-studio performance was born." - Funkadelic Freestyles

NOTE: James was slightly under the weather during this performance, but he still killed it!
