"Rock The Boat" was written by Static Major, Eric Seats & Rapture Stewart for Aaliyah's third studio album, Aaliyah (2001). The album version was produced by Keybeats.
This remix by UK producer Damien Mendis was created in July 2001 shortly after her passing and in corporates the drum machine from Mtume's "Juicy Fruit" - interspersed with filtered & looped Aaliyah vocals, additional guitar licks, synth sounds, and tiny drops of Loose Ends "Hanging On A String".
