88Nine's DJ Tarik Moody sat down with the iconic producer, author, artist and filmmaker, RZA prior to his event, "Live From the 36th Chamber" at Milwaukee's Oriental Theater in 2018.
Back in 2003, RZA gets back to his roots on the street, talking us through how his career has shaped him so far, side and solo ventures he’s begun taking more recently as well as his direction for the future (including his recent involvement with film sets as an actor). This interview was filmed as Wu-Tang-Clan touched down in Hamburg for a concert that night with RZA leading things from the stage.
Enjoy the sound clash of two great musical minds of Hip Hop as The RZA of Wu-Tang Clan visits Marley Marl on the radio. Each play music and show admiration for each other's craft. Starting off with a rare remix of Biggie's "Gimmie The Loot", this episode of Future Flavas bangs like none other.
Legendary MC and producer RZA of Wu-Tang Clan explains how kung-fu movies and the raw atmosphere of 1990s New York inspired the iconic album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) — and has also inspired his Spoonful of Grit soundpack for BLOCKS and NOISE.

DJ Grand Finale provides the grit in a mix which breaks down thesample science of RZA as he evolved from the Prince Rakeem to 36 Chambers era while at CES 2017 Wu-Tang Clan legend RZA joined ROLI founder Roland Lamb for a meeting of innovative musician minds. The Abbott of The Wu takes time to discuss his beginnings in music, the importance of keeping the 'grit', and how ROLI BLOCKS and other technology have changed the possibilities for producers. The RZArecta gets down on the beats live with the Parisi Brothers at the Apple Store in Williamsburg Brooklyn in fall of 2016 using the innovative hand-held technology of Roli Blocks. The Wu leader remains raw as his signature dark and cinematic edge of production continues to expand, thanks to his reach in musicianship and clever digital music workflow.
Taking a step back 20 years to RZA's masterpiece "Ironman", his interview with Channel 33 reveals some cool behind the scenes details of each Clansman's part in recording from humorous times to the most labor-intensive moments. Reminisce with The Abbott on one of The Wu's best works. Interview begins at 13:20.
