The aggressive mic delivery of Hannibal Stax and gutter sounds on the boards of producer Marco Polo combine for an adrenaline-boosting New York sound of Hip Hop on their full-length LP "Seize The Day". "Cream & Cookies" Instrumentals by Shuko & F of Audiotreats is definitely a treat for the eardrum. The two German producers dig into their wide range of musical influences to present a 13 track collection of instrumentals which take influence and push the art of classic 90's jazzy, boom-bap sound founded by Pete Rock, Dilla, Spinna and others.
If you are familiar with Shuko and F's impressive production catalog, this is definitely a conscious step into presenting a specific sound that they love, each utilize a wide range of moods and styles in working with a variety of artists. It is great to hear produces who have that Jazz/Hip Hop essence within them and are willing to further the art of this classic sound.
I like the vibe of this song, Revolution as been making a steady climb from renown DJ to notable producer for a few years now and this first single from his Malcolm & Martin project sounds like beginning of a promising Hip Hop project. "Life Doesn't Frighten Me" set to drop Feb. 1st on Soulspazm Records by the dynamic duo of Malcolm & Martin.

Had to post this after hearing it on one of my favorite college mix shows, the combination of Philly's most respected DJ crew, Reef The Lost Cauze and Supastition sounds great.
From IllVibe Collective's blog:
"Behold. The first single from our debut production LP coming via Soulspazm Records in early 2011. The forthcoming Illvibe Collective album is titled All Together now and is a mixed bag of hip hop, soul, and electronic flavors. There are appearances on the album from Bahamadia, Invincible, Conya Doss, Aaron Livingston, Rich Medina, our label mate, Hezekiah and much more. We have been working on All Together now for about 2 years and it's finally done and ready for your ears. For now, here is the first single, Authentic Raw featuring Supastition and Reef The Lost Cauze. The feedback has been overwhelming so far and a bunch of DJs around the globe have already added the joint to their playlists thanks to Foundation Media. We hope you all enjoy what's to come."
