On August 6th, 2023 @ Racket NYC, X-ECUTIONERS members Boogie Blind, Mista Sinista & DJ Precision demonstrate swiftness in execution of two turntables and a mixer. Special guest appearance by DJ FatFingaz. Below is one of my uploads from years back when X-Men performed on Dj Evil Dee's Monday Night Flavor Mix.

Origins Of Eric B. Is President & Other Scratch Routines With The X-Men & Marley Marl

A skilled DJ cutting up Eric B Is President and other famous breaks with precision is one of the most entertaining performances and sounds known to Hip Hop. Rob Swift, Dr. Butcher, Roc Raida and Marley Marl demonstrate the origins of this classic Eric B and Rakim record in addition to each DJ revealing a number of scratch routines which were their secret weapon during battles. Sit back and enjoy as the turntables are set ablaze by a group of true technicians.

About the Eric B. Is President routine by Rob Swift:

"in 1994, Raida decided to come out of retirement and asked me to help him train for the 1995 DMC. At which point, all of my personal goals took a back seat to helping my brother Raida win the title he coveted so much.

I remember at the time I was working on all new routines. Stuff that was more advanced than my previous battle routines with joints like "Nobody Beats The Biz". I was in the mist of devising new, innovative ways of beat juggling by now. The Beastie Boys' "Paul Revere" inspired me to begin experimenting with creating beat juggles that went in reverse with Eric B. & Rakim's "Eric B. For President".

Since no one was beat juggling in reverse at the time, I decided to give Raida this routine in hopes it would help him win the 95 World Championship title..."

For experiencing the true essence of Hip Hop, nothing beats the sound of breaks being cut back and forth as a form of sonic entertainment, and especially so when it comes from the hands of an experienced battle DJ such as Rob Swift of The X-Ecutioners. Enjoy a display of turntable precision and an education into the fundamentals of Hip Hop with about an hour of breaks spun by Rob on his 2012 mixtape "That's The Breaks".

The X-Ecutioners 1995 Routine for Evil Dee's Monday Night Flavor Mix

Roc Raida, Rob Swift, Sinista and Diamond J set the turntables on fire with a 20 minute scratch routine for DJ Evil Dee's Monday Night Flavor mix show. This blazing display of skills on the decks took place back in the year of 1995 on New York's Hot 97 FM radio. As you behold the speed and precision with which each record is cut back and forth, it's bound to make you wonder exactly what planet these dudes come from!

The X-Ecutioners/Ill Insanity member DJ Total Eclipse provides champion turntable skills with blends to peek your interest from track to track as he digs through the crates for his latest mix, "Urban Legend Series #2". As the presenter of the mixtape Solo For Dolo says, the "mix is FUNKY AS HELL" and should touch the inner Hip Hop fiend in you once you listen. This mix will hopefully educate you on new gems as well as remind you of heat from the NY independent underground Hip Hop scene.

Beat Junkie Sound & VTech Presents - Nightlife: The Roc Raida L.A. Tribute 2011

The turntables are set ablaze for this live dedication to the late, great Roc Raida. Members of the X-Ecutioners, the Beat Junkies, & Dj P-Trix all pay tribute to the one and only Grandmaster Roc Raida, including his daughter DJ Ny-Raida who gets on the turntables to end off the astounding dedication set.

In between the DJ performance are feature interviews with Dj Precision, Dj Boogie Blind, Dj Sean C, Dj Rob Swift, J.Rocc, Mr. Choc, & MF Grimm who all share their fondest memories of Raida. We as Hip Hop fans should all be thankful of this collective who help keep the art of the DJ and vinyl alive in the name of Roc Raida.
