Guru and Premier perform their classic single from Hard To Earn on MTV's "The Grind" a dance music show hosted by The Real World's Eric Neiss. It's interesting to watch Gangstarr perform for an audience of a different demographic who was probably paid to be there as extras, but it seems like they really rocked the crowd anyway. Premier does his thing on the 1's and 2's with a live chorus scratch, backing Guru through his performance in the true hip hop pairing of a DJ and lyricist. Besides giving a great performance, I remember the outstanding level of consistency Guru and Premier continued to hold at this point of their career, maintaining a certain standard of excellence which was inspirational in hip hop music.
