On 1-30-2010, I was fortunate to record a live show by of hip hop's greatest live performers, The Blastmaster KRS One, at Southpaw in Brooklyn, New York. Although I was unable to attend this event it sounds like he killed it, running through a selection of classic songs and freestyles, controlling the crowd in the true tradition of an MC. This audio is courtesy of East Village Radio's live m3u stream.
The best part I like about hearing KRS live is the sincereness of his performance, he sounds like someone who loves to perform, teach and touch crowds of people. I knew the minute I learned he was doing a live show I had to record it so I wouldn't miss out on the opportunity to be entertained, educated on the history of hip hop and learn life lessons all in one performance by one of hip hop's greatest.
