This reminds me of the biking/skateboarding culture I witnessed living in California, it's interesting to see that culture collide with Hip Hop for a moment in this commercial. Nike has definitely been a part of inner city culture as long as I can remember, so it's good to see the tradition kept alive through this new commercial with The RZA. When I first watched this video I expected to hear traditional Hip Hop, but was surprised by a different type of sound, take a look and hear for yourself. I look forward to more unexpected musical and cultural reaches from RZA, it takes someone who has done well with Hip Hop to truly guide it in new directions.
