The re-recording of "Animal Planet" finds musicians replacing a 2 bar loop to provide an exciting live interpolation of Isaac Hayes' "A Man's Temptation" as the new sound bed for GZA's clever storytelling. The energy of this track can be described as increased intensity as each musical element is now more separate and changes with progression, bringing the Soul of Isaac Hayes into a modern element of dark Hip Hop-inspired instrumentation.
I recorded this gem off WBAI's The Underground Railroad Show of New York, but still don't know if it was released commercially. Whoever has info on where to purchase an official copy, let me know.
