Juju and Psycho Les stop by the studios of Pete Rock & Marley Marl to promote their 3rd album release "Stone Crazy", back in the summer of 1997. "Stone Crazy" is definitely one of those albums I enjoyed for the humor and sense of free self-expression, I can't think of many other duos who did it with the same type of dark comedic twist, deep crate digging sense and production skill set as The Beatnuts.

In this interview, you'll hear The Beatnuts discuss "Off The Books" with Marley Marl, who clowns them a bit for the wooden marching soldier flute sounds used in the beat, lol. I was happy for the song unlocking a new lane of exposure for them, because they definitely represented alot of what I liked about Hip Hop, but I had a hard time finding on the radio. Pete & Marley express the same sentiments towards the group's new found success during this 1997 interview.
