In '97, The Beatnuts Promote Stone Crazy" On Pete Rock & Marley Marl's Future Flavas Radio

Juju and Psycho Les stop by the studios of Pete Rock & Marley Marl to promote their 3rd album release "Stone Crazy", back in the summer of 1997. The Beatnuts' 3rd release took their style of dark humor and comedy a step further then the previous, combining their unique persona as MCs with deep crate digging sensibility and a strong production skill set.

In this interview, you'll hear The Beatnuts discuss "Off The Books" with Marley Marl, who pokes fun at them a bit for the wooden marching soldier flute sounds used in the beat. Regardless of. Marley's humor, I was happy for the song unlocking a new lane of exposure for them in a sound which was more light-hearted but still brought a serious view of street life. Pete & Marley express the same sentiments towards the group's new found success during this 1997 interview.
