Connecticut's own Apathy gives us a selection of treats from the 90's on his podcast, choosing from the feel-good side of the audio spectrum with songs that are reminiscent of summertime, and a carefree era of writing by many MCs. The influence of Jazz upon the 90's era to create classics is felt in a set of songs by De La Soul, Bush Babees, Erule and more. After the lighter set, he goes into a set of more rugged songs to remind you of the streets.
Apathy sounds frustrated by the current weather at the intro of this episode, so I can see why he would choose the joints he did to find escapism through the music. It's cool to hear an MC play songs that influenced his music and life directly to get another perspective of his view of music aside from his actual songs. I encourage more MCs to podcast too if time allows for it.
