I went into this mix by MoSS (Ghostface, Big Shug, Joell Ortiz, Termanology, Red Cafe, Skyzoo) not really knowing what to expect, but upon listening I was happy to discover the psych sound of Indonesia carries the same type of organic, experimental funk vibe as obscure psych Rock music of America. Each song is filled with funky bass lines, breaks and grooves with an emphasis on outstanding guitar sounds. This is an interesting look into the inter-continental effect of music between world cultures, up until now I would've never thought such funky sounds could come from a region of Southeast Asia!

MoSS's mix contains selections from Now-Again Records CD compilation "Those Shocking, Shaking Days: Indonesian Hard, Psychedelic, Progressive Rock And Funk 1970-1978". Now-Again continues to scour the globe for raw psych-funk gems, this time visiting the far reaches of South East Asia to unearth the rare psychedelic sounds of Indonesia! Pick up the compilation on CD or vinyl at Amazon.com.
