Taking from the influence of early 90's neighborhood representation of MCing, Damu lets you know where he's from on "DC Joint". Damu gets visual on this song by detailing the ruff ghetto environment of Washington D.C. through a creative flow backed by a heavy drum groove and scratches. If his label ReDef records hadn't indicated this was made in 2011 I would have assumed it was a rare release from around '90, "D.C. Joint" carries the production qualities and a signature rhyme style that makes Hip Hop from that era sought-after by it's listeners.
