I was excited to come across this cool instrumental almost 20 years after it's original recording date. The fine execution of early 90's style sample looping and live instrumentation by TheBeatGenius and Ekiti Son [Femi], otherwise known as The Steepuljaxx on "Cool Breeze" reaches above and beyond most production of the time and still manages to sound good today. This was an album track on the Flavors Vol 1 LP released on Greedy Beat Records back in '93. The incorporation of a live bass and Jamie Talbot who plays improvised flute melodies throughout "Cool Breeze" breathes a cool Jazz vibe into the boom-bap sound and array of familiar samples provided by the production duo.
