Prince Paul releases another gem from the vaults, the demo mix of "Drug Dealer" by Boogie Down Productions which features a rough mixdown plus a different drum sample and drops. This is one of the more deeply written and socially insightful songs off BDP's "Sex and Violence" LP where KRS suggests solutions to the drug dealers of society to take a look at themselves in order to turn a negative into a positive. I can definitely relate to the messages kicked from growing up in the 80 and 90's drug-plagued community of Harlem, New York. Enjoy this Prince Paul production from the archives.
