A nice and laid-back storytelling track from Slum and De La produced by Young RJ, who flips a sample from The JBs "King Herion" song to bring the classic De La sound you heard on their "Stakes Is High" LP. When listening to the symbolism behind the lyrics of "Turning Me Off", it sounds as if Dave, Pos and T3 are making references to their exhaustion with elements of Hip Hop and females at the same time, intertwining memories of life from both life experiences into one interesting palette of thought-provoking lyricism. The honesty really comes through in each MCs words as the perspective of adults who aren't afraid to express their current feelings of life.
