Enjoy a demonstration into the future of Ableton's latest addition into DAW music production technology. Mitch Gallagher of Sweetwater brings Dennis DeSantis, Head of Documentation at Ableton, and Tony McCall, Managing Director of North America for Ableton who discuss and demonstrate some of the new features in Ableton Live 9, as well as the new Push control surface for Live. This combination of controller and DAW allows for great control of musical expression by incorporating features which accommodate the creative process of structuring sound, key, rhythm etc.

One of the new features in Live 9 is that you can directly convert audio files into MIDI tracks. As an example, Dennis takes a beatbox recording and converts it to a MIDI sequence to trigger drum samples.

New improvements within the audio processing suite of Live 9 include a new bus compressor, filter and EQ which feature a whole new way of visualizing each of your parameters and changes.

To navigate and locate the perfect sounds within your library and tweak settings with more ease than before, the browser of Live 9 has been revamped to accommodate a more efficient workflow. Previewing sounds is a snap with the ability to play them without the need to load each individually.
