This interview is sure to blow the minds of Funk enthusiasts, diggers. Stezo presents a mini-doc for those who appreciate the cultural impact of breakbeats in Hip Hop. As an artist who debuted the classic drum break "It's A New Day" on his 1989 album "Crazy Noise", Stezo helped introduce the Hip Hop world to the obscure Funk music of The Skull Snaps, also known as The Diplomats. This unique sound of a breakbeat which was recorded in the early 1970 on The Skull Snaps' self-titled album has generated a cult following of fans and mythological status within the Funk genre and helped to produce numerous Hip Hop classics.
Now in 2012, these two generations of music sit down in the same studio to discuss the impact that they've had on each other and share interesting facts behind their legendary recordings. Stezo and Jim Slice of Flashback Fever Radio are joined by 2 of the members of The Skull Snaps.
