What started out as a side project for musicians in various Lafayette bands such as The Botanist, Venus Funk Trap, 3tet, and Foo Foo Juice, has transformed into what is now known as A Funk Band Named Machete. Lafayette’s most experimental and relentless groove based band. The music produced by this eclectic group of musicians show no regard for boundaries or conventional genres. Sometimes eccentric, other time humorous and all the time austere, Machete has built its name through their energetic and inventive live shows. In the future the band plans to infect large portions of the worlds population with their unparalleled original stylings. TAKE NOTE.
