"Romeo Johnson, a Chattanooga, TN, native, arrived on the Los Angeles music scene making a name for himself by singing at various open mic venues and playing bass guitar. Romeo is a baritone whose voice is smooth as silk and has a five-octave vocal range that allows him to sing as high as the sopranos and as low as the basses.

Romeo’s first gig was playing Bass Guitar and singing background with Ollie Ali Woodson (former lead singer of the Legendary Temptations). Shortly after, Romeo began his touring career with: Vesta Williams, Jody Watley, Sheena Easton, Janet Jackson, Millie Jackson, Rahsaan Patterson, and Michael Jackson. (Romeo is the only vocalist to ever tour with both Janet and Michael Jackson.)

After taking a short break from touring, Romeo got back on the road again touring with: Rufus, Teddy Riley & GUY, Blackstreet, Patti Austin, Xzibit and Queen Latifah. In between touring, Romeo is busy recording with artists such as David Peaston, Jennifer Holliday, James Ingram,Stevie Wonder, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, Ice Cube etc., movie soundtracks such as “Radio” “The Cookout” and “Holla”. He has recorded a national commercial for “Outlast” a CoverGirl product featuring Queen Latifah.

Romeo is working as a Vocal Coach/Director to the likes of: The Legendary Teddy Riley, Blackstreet, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Cassie, Paradiso Girls, Ester Dean, and Tino Coury. Romeo is featured in two reality TV shows as the Vocal Coach on MTV’s P. Diddy StarMaker as well as a Judge and Vocal Director on MTV’s “Making His Band”.

Romeo is CEO of Romeo Entertainment, a company that presents numerous open mic nights in order to give up and coming unsigned artists an avenue for exposure and networking to music industry executives and major recording artists invited by Romeo Entertainment."
