Starting at the age of nineteen, Drew Schultz earned his stripes as the drummer, percussionist, archivist, and substitute conductor of the legendary Four Tops. As a student of Earth Wind & Fire's Ralph Johnson and Uriel Jones, drummer from Motown's recording band The Funk Brothers, he was inspired to involve himself as much as possible with soul and R&B music.

During his time with the Tops he also performed with The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, The Dramatics, The Miracles, The Contours, Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes, The Velvelettes, Chairmen of the Board, and more. Drew's debut album, "Back to Class," contains Schultz's original music featuring The Four Tops, members of The Funk Brothers, Dennis Coffey, Melvin Davis, Pat Lewis, Spyder Turner, James Jamerson Jr, Lenny Pickett, McKinley Jackson, Rob Carter, Joey Kingfish, and many more. Half of the record's proceeds go to benefit the music programs for the Detroit Public Schools. He is currently working on a series follow up singles benefiting public school music school programs across the country featuring more legendary soul artists he has looked up to.
