"After the success of "Thèmes et Atmosphères", Saint Tropez Orchestra return with "Heavy Soul Dance Party" - 11 tracks of raw psych funk, recorded to analog tape at Studio Des Fontaines, in the South of France.
Originally, "Thèmes et Atmosphères Volume 2" was to be the obvious follow up to the debut. It was actually written and recorded many months ago, but is currently mired in licensing disputes. It will come out, but in the meantime, fed up with the waiting around, Saint Tropez Orchestra entered the studio and laid down "Heavy Soul Dance Party" straight to 4-track, needles-in-the-red, first takes and all.
The album is currently being negotiated for a vinyl release, so look out for that in the New Year.
Listening to "Heavy Soul Dance Party" is the closest you will get to experiencing Saint Tropez Orchestra rocking out in a sweaty basement club on the South French coast. Turn the volume up and get dancing!" - Dime Records
