The originator with the flavor who put the Jazz in The Funk aka The Guru gets busy for his '93 promo run of "Jazzmatazz". Adam Dristle provides this rare radio recording that transports us back to a time when people used slang like "skinz" and "phat". A time when Hip Hop classics were nearly inescapable depending on where you were. So press play and enjoy one of the great breakthroughs of fusion in Hip Hop history.
If you didn't get it already, the 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition (3×LP Box Set) of Jazzmatazz is still available here at Amazon, released in 1993 via Universal Music Canada. Features the complete original album, an instrumental LP, and a third vinyl of rare B-sides and remixes. Packaged in a custom slipcase with a 12-page glossy booklet. Available as a 3×LP box set.
Apple Music also has the Deluxe Edition streaming with 22 tracks.
